Question Who was Francis the Hermit?
Answer  The real name of Francis the Hermit was Francis Abbott ;
  The Hermit's Cascade named after him, is located between Goat Island and First Sister Island ;
  The young Englishman came to Niagara in 1829 in search of solitude, he sought and gained permission to build a cabin on Goat Island, here he lived for two years ; he then moved to the mainland near Hennepin View and continued his solitary life ; his body was found one June day in 1841 in the river below the Falls ;
